Recount

This was the second period in A Discourse Approach in Reading Course. I learned about Recount. 

Recounts are written to retell events with the purpose of either informing or entertaining their audience or both. The purpose of a recount is to list and describe past experiences by retelling events in the order in which they happened and written in the past tense. 

I learned the text about the Funeral in Toraja,Indonesia. It different from the funeral ceremony in Thai. I think the vocabularies are difficult for me, I usually opened my dictionary to find them but discourse marker made me more understand in the story.
