Recount II

Today I learned continue about the recount from yesterday. I sent the homework this is the list of Definition to the teacher. She checked them and found a lot of mistake in the sentences. So, I had to corrected them and sent it again next week.


The teacher ordered me to read the second story "An Excursion to the Botanic Gardens" and then did the exercise. The other exercises are little hard and I could do them. Before I finished class. Teacher assigned me to do the homework.

Recount

This was the second period in A Discourse Approach in Reading Course. I learned about Recount. 
Recounts are written to retell events with the purpose of either informing or entertaining their audience or both. The purpose of a recount is to list and describe past experiences by retelling events in the order in which they happened and written in the past tense

I learned the text about the Funeral in Toraja,Indonesia. It different from the funeral ceremony in Thai. I think the vocabularies are difficult for me, I usually opened my dictionary to find them but discourse marker made me more understand in the story.

The first time with A Discourse Approach in Reading



Today is a first day to start in this semester 2/2555. I studied about A Discourse Approach in Reading with Dr. Usa Noytim. She is very kind and on the time. I believe so, it will help me to can writing better.
Today I learned about discourse markers,are referred to more commonly as 'linking words' and 'linking phrases', or 'sentence connectors'. For example; in addition, on the other hand, because, as a result, in fact etc.
I thought it difficult for me. I have to improve for my writing, so I leaned about discourse markers more, them will help me to improve my writing.
