Finally Period

Today is the finally learning in this class. We learned about “Expository Text”.

Expository test is written to inform the reader about a specific object. Generally speaking, expository text contains an explicit or imp licit topic sentence with the main idea and the supporting ideas. These ideas are organized into text structures. These organizations or patterns include listing of ideas, sequencing of ideas according to a time order, comparing and contrasting ideas, describing characteristics of ideas, discussing causes and effects of ides and addressing the problems certain ideas present as well as their solutions.

We read the expository text about “The Internet and Society” and “How to Cope with Insomnia” then answer the questions.

“The Internet and Society” tell about the impacts of the Internet on society.

“How to Cope with Insomnia” tells about way to cope with insomnia.

I think two texts were little difficult but I was confuse when I made it, so I made the wrong exercises.

 After we finished the exercises, the teacher told us about our final test. We are so excited about them.

 Finally, I would like to say thank you the teacher for every knowledge to give me. I want to be a teacher same her because she is a good model to be a teacher, she always on time, attend the student, give a lots of knowledge, and amenity. 

Problem and Solution

Today, I  learned about  Problem and Solution is a pattern of organization where information in a passage is expressed as a dilemma or concerning issue ( a problem ) and something that was, can be, or should be done to remedy this issue ( solution or attempted solution ).

In my opinion, the text was interesting but the vocabulary was difficult to read. I was confuse and so tired.

My Presentation

Today I has make up class. We learned about the Exemplification, the act of showing by example to either explain, amuse or convince. It can also be used to mean a law that makes a certified copy of a document. In developing ideas, this word is considered among the most common and effective.

              In the afternoon, my friend and I have to present how to cook “Thai Spicy Minces Pork Salad”. I feel excited when I presented and I very hungry because I didn’t have lunch.

Definition and Classification

Yesterday I learnt about Definition and classification. Sometimes I didn’t understand why some word was not be the definition and couldn’t find the definition. I think they were difficult for me but I want to read and practice more and more.

Cause and Effect

Today I learnt about cause and effect.

- A cause is WHY something happens.     

- An effect is WHAT happens. 

- As you read be a detective.  Look for clue words, such as if,  then, because, since, and so.

We read the text and completed the diagram. And then make the exercises.

I think Cause and Effect are looked the same. It made me confuse about the meaning of them. 

Comparison or Contrast

Yesterday we learned about the Comparison or Contrast continued the last week.

“The Comparison or Contrast essay is an essay in which you either compare something or contrast something. A comparison essay is an essay in which you emphasize the similarities, and a contrast essay is an essay in which you emphasize the differences. We use comparison and contrast thinking when deciding which university to attend, which smartphone to buy, or whether to vacation at home or abroad.”

That day the university had the Open House NPRU, the teachers told us to joined and wrote about it in this blog. I walked around the fair and looked many boots. There are several boots from many programs. I went to the boots from Hotel and Tourist first and tried some sweet, they was tasteful. Then, I went sightseeing in other boots. All boots was good and very interesting for me.

Midterm Test

Today I have a midterm test. I thought the test is difficult for me because there have a lot of vocabularies and I don’t understand some text. I couldn't do it well.

After finished the midterm test, we learned another lesson and looked the presentation from my friends.

Today I tried to do everything because I was sick.
